About.

Julie Douglas is a photo-based artist currently living in Northern Ontario. She completed her thesis at OCAD University in 2014, and has exhibited work across Ontario including the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, John B. Aird Gallery, and The Gallery in the Attic.

The subject of Douglas’ work primarily focuses on both rural and industrial abandonments throughout Ontario. She is interested in documenting the stories of those that seemingly just vanished, and the traces that have been left behind in spaces that are often long forgotten.
